It looks like Shep Rose is finally tired of getting his can kicked.
The “Southern Charm” star, 39, admitted Wednesday that it “wasn’t cool or funny” that last weekend he posted a video of himself mocking a woman collecting cans on an East Village street.
The “mea culpa” comes after he spent two days adamantly defending his actions, despite a flood of criticism online.
“I know some people were upset about the video from Sunday night,” he wrote. “It was a stupid joke and bad idea all around. Also a bit out of context. I spent a few minutes with her talking and telling jokes. She laughed a little. But Yeah, wasn’t cool or funny. Mea culpa.”
Rose first posted the video making fun of a woman sitting on the street next to several trash bags filled with cans on Sunday night.
The woman covered her face with her hands to stop him from recording, but he continued anyway, saying: “Look at me. Nice cans! I mean, the cans you have!”
He initially refused to apologize for his behavior and even disparaged fans who asked him to admit his insensitivity.
“Always get a chuckle when people try to send me to the principles office [sic]. I bet you were a scream in high school!” the Peter Pan-like reality star proclaimed when a fan asked Bravo and Andy Cohen to take action against him and remove him from the network.
Bravo previously declined to comment on his behavior.
