Pregnant Holly Hagan hits back at trolls saying she’s ‘quite happy’ in her ‘sad beige home’
Pregnant Holly Hagan has hit back at trolls after she faced criticism after purchasing a white ball pit for her unborn child.
The former Geordie Shore star, 30, shared an unboxing video of the ball pit yesterday (February 3) and was quickly hit with criticism by some followers, with one commenting: "Babies need colour and visual stimulation, all these bland grey and white shades though."
While a second argued: "I don't get it… I would of gone for colourful balls if this was for the baby anyway."
Holly has since taken to her Instagram Story to hit back against critics, some of whom she says have sent her DMs.
Speaking to the camera, Holly begins: "Guys I've got the colour police in my DMs because I got a white ball pit, and I'm just like 'how can anybody be bothered to care about what toys other people's children have.
"I can't imagine taking the time out of my day to send somebody a message because they had a ball pit that wasn't multi-coloured."
Laughing, she continued: "I can't believe I'm even coming on here and saying this. I can't believe we're having this conversation. I was warned that this would happen, but babies can't even see in colour until four months or five months.
"That's why you have the black and white sensory books and things like that, which we have got by the way, we just obviously don't share every single moment of our life. Will I post the Fisher Price toys on social media? Probably not, they don't look great but it doesn't mean they're not there."
Holly then says that she can get a little overwhelmed with too much colour, and in a previous home she did try to make it more colourful but it really wasn't for her and made her feel on edge.
She then adds: "I'm quite happy in my sad beige home with my sad beige duvet and my sad beige headboard. I've seen people be trolled over having beige in their house and not any colour and why would anyone care about something like that?"
New mum Molly-Mae Hague has also faced online trolling over her home decor, particularly in her daughter Bambi's nursery.
After the former Love Island runner up shared a glimpse of her newborn's new cot, one fan decided to hunt down the item revealing that it's currently on sale for £8,189.28, with a 40 per cent saving on the Homeloft website.
Fans were left shocked the the cot would cost this much, with some comparing it to a hospital cot or even a "vegetable fridge drawer".
Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright have also faced trolling over their home interior, with some branding it as "too beige" after they shared some snaps of their home to Instagram.
One fan wrote that the home was "all a bit too beige for my liking." And a second added: "Each to their own but a bit of colour would be welcome here and there."
While another argued: "In our home we have ornaments we’ve collected on holidays over the years, things that are personal to us. NOT someone coming in and styling our house to look like a show house."
