Marnie Simpson has revealed she’s determined to have the “whole family structure” with her son Rox after previously hinting she and fiancé Casey Johnson had split.
The former Geordie Shore star, 28, who has since proved their romance is still on, praised single parents while speaking on her MTV podcast, Marnie’s Home Truths, alongside her mum Sharon.
Marnie said: “Since I became a mum, I have so much respect for single parents. Like on a serious note, I don't know how you do it.”

Her mother Sharon replied: “It's lonely, it's hard work, you've got to be mum and dad. I have got so much respect for all these single mums and dads as well, there's a lot of single dads as well.”
Marnie then noted how they didn’t have a car growing up and that they would get the bus.
She said: “It's really weird but like buses were a big part of my childhood, you didn't have a car.”

Sharon added: “I think people just look down at them, they are the real heroes aren't they? The real heroes.
“Do you know how hard it is to bring up a child anyway, but to go out there and do it alone, to bring another human being up?”
Reflecting on her own family life with 15-month-old son Rox, Marnie said: “Because I didn't have it when I was younger… the whole family structure. I was determined to have it with Rox.”

It comes after Marnie and Casey, 25, who have been together three years, were rocked by split rumours after she fuelled the speculation with several cryptic quotes shared on her Instagram. The pair also unfollowed each other on social media.
But Marnie appeared to confirm things were back on track after posting a string of photos and videos together.
In one photo of them hugging, she wrote: “Never let the sadness of your troubles and the fear of your future ruin what you have!
“Be strong, fight your battles no matter how hard they are, and if you push your loved ones away in dispair the ones who truly love you will always choose to stay no matter what.” [sic]
The couple began dating in 2017 after they met while filming dating series Single AF.
They confirmed their romance as they locked lips in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, where they were filming the dating show.
