Louise Redknapp has confessed that her two teenage sons are eager for her to find love again after her ex-husband Jamie remarried.
And while she would love to start dating, she’s not putting any pressure on herself, a source close to the 47-year-old star has revealed.
“Louise would like to find someone, but it hasn’t been that easy. She’s got to learn to love herself before loving someone else again,” our source told us.
“Her confidence has been knocked. Even though she and Jamie have been parted for a few years now, she spent the majority of her life with him and the two kids, so it is a big change.
"You always find someone when you’re least expecting it, and that’s where she’s at. If it happens it happens.”
Louise made a rare disclosure about her love life last week as she talked about how her boys Charley, 17, and Beau, 13, are keen for her to meet someone.
“[My sons] always say, ‘When are you going to [date]?’” she said, adding, “Dating just takes time.”
She continued, “On my days off, going out and having a social life is not my priority.
"It’s being a mum and stocking up the fridge. All my boys care about is me being happy – whatever that is.”
Our source said that after watching their father Jamie, 48, tie the knot with model Frida Andersson – who is pregnant with their first child – last month, the boys now want the same for Louise.
“They want to see her happy because they can see how happy remarrying has made their dad,” said the source.
“Now they want their mum to find someone.”
Louise split with Jamie in 2017 after 19 years of marriage following her stint on Strictly Come Dancing the previous year.
Opening up about the breakdown of their relationship, Louise said at the time that her children were "priority".
She said: “Of course we all go through hard times, and my priority and his priority is our children and protecting them and keeping as much private as possible and loving them and putting them first.
"That’s really what we’re focusing on.”
