Kate Middleton playfully cradles Prince Louis in beautiful new snaps for Mother’s Day

New images of Kate Middleton and her kids have been released by Kensington Palace to mark Mother's Day, with fans gushing over the family unit in the comments.

After the official Royal Family Instagram posted a touching tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth on Sunday, the Kensington Palace account shared beautiful pictures of Kate and her kids, including a sweet snap of the Princess cradling Prince Louis.

"Happy Mother’s Day from our family to yours," the caption read. Within a matter of minutes, the snaps raked up over 100,000 likes.

The pictures show Kate sitting in a tree as she is flanked by her kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

A second picture showed a close-up shot of Kate holding Louis upside down with a massive smile on her face.

Fans flocked to the comments to gush over the new pictures, with many suggesting they offer another perspective on the untouchable family.

"Happy Mother's Day Princess of Wales and to all Mother's who celebrating today lovely pics,!" one person wrote.

"Now that’s what you call a family tree," someone else joked, as another said, "What a gorgeous photo, happy mothers day to you."

Earlier in the day, the official Instagram page for the Royal Family shared a picture of a young King Charles alongside his late mother while also posting a picture of the Queen Consort with her mum.

"To all mothers everywhere, and to those who may be missing their mums today, we are thinking of you and wishing you a special," they captioned the post.

While most followers wished the Royals the best Mother's Day, others took issue with the fact that only one of Queen Elizabeth's kids was featured in the post.

"Did Queen Elizabeth only have one child??? This post is disrespectful in a multiple levels," one person wrote, questioning where Prince Edward and Prince Andrew were.

"Just literally forcing Camilla down our throats aren’t ya," another sniped, as someone else added, "That’s cool but don’t acknowledge all mothers… ha ha joke of this post."

Other followers took issue with the fact that Princess Diana, the mother of Charles' Prince William and Prince Harry, was omitted from the tribute.

"Perhaps King Charles could have posted about the mother of his children, rather than Camilla and her mother," one fan argued.

Another said: "Uhhh…somehow the mother of his own children was passed over."

Harry and William are yet to post anything for the annual celebration of mothers, though it's still relatively early in the day.
