David Beckham has been spotted greeting Prime Minister Boris Johnson with a fist bump at the Who Cars Wins Awards ceremony on Tuesday 14 September.

Former professional footballer David, 46, also brought his mother Sandra along to the glittering ceremony, attended by plenty of stars.

David and his mum rubbed shoulders with 57 year old Boris, who tragically lost his mum earlier this week, as well as Prince William and many more high profile names.

The hunky star joined the huge lineup of names to celebrate and honour NHS heroes in the ceremony.

David looked dapper as ever in a classy black suit with a white shirt with white shirt with ribbed detailing on the front.

He topped off the look with a black bow tie and a white pocket square. David, who's son Romeo recently signed his first football contract, looked hunky with a salt and pepper beard.

The former footballer also gave a nod to his younger years with his hairstyle, as he had the tips of his hair dyed blond.

Meanwhile, David's mum Sandra matched with her son as she sported a black trouser suit and a black v-neck top underneath. She topped the look off with a pair of suede-look black heels.

Mother and son looked happy to attend the star-studded ceremony together. And David even sweetly put his arm around his mum Sandra while the pair posed for a photo.

David looked in high spirits as he greeted the Prime Minister, with the pair exchanging a fist bump on the red carpet.

Boris opted for a navy blue suit and a blue spotted tie for the event.

Former football professional David and Boris had a friendly conversation after bumping into each other.

Later, David also stopped to take a photo with a young fan in a wheelchair and the pair had a friendly chat outside the Roundhouse in Camden, where the event is being held.

David and Boris are amongst a string of stars attending The Sun's Who Cares Wins awards on Tuesday 14 September.

The ceremony, hosted by Davina McCall, celebrated doctors, nurses, midwives, surgeons, volunteers, researchers and charity workers who have worked tirelessly in recent months.

During the ceremony, David also bumped into Gary Lineker and his lookalike son George.

George, 29, took the opportunity to pose for a snap with the football legend, which he later shared on his Instagram page.

As George shared the image of himself the Becks smiling for the camera, he told his followers in the caption: "A couple of heroes at The Sun’s Heroes awards #whocareswins".
