Billie Shepherd worries about ‘gory bits’ as she refuses to let Family Diaries film birth

She’s due to welcome her third child on December 6, but Billie Shepherd has revealed that the moment won’t be captured by the cameras for her and husband Greg’s ITVBe reality show The Family Diaries.

Speaking exclusively to OK!, the pregnant star says that while there may be some clips in their programme, the camera crew of the programme won’t be in the room when she gives birth as she doesn’t want to share “gory details”.

“There may be some footage,” Billie shares. “Look, we’re not talking all the gory details but it will be home footage that we’re going to capture ourselves.

“We’re not going to have the film crew there, as much as they would have liked to be there!”

The Family Diaries team have been present throughout Billie’s third pregnancy, from attending her ultrasound scans and to capturing when she told told children Nelly, eight, and Arthur, five, the news and filming the family finally moving into their dream £1.4 million home in Essex.

The show first aired a year ago following the end of Billie’s reality show with her sister Sam Faiers entitled Sam and Billie Faiers: The Mummy Diaries.

Confirming the news in a statement, Sam also revealed Billie and Greg’s new show.

She said: "After many months of consideration, I've decided that now feels like the right time to step away and to focus on new adventures.

"I truly have watched all the most defining moments in my adult life play out on The Mummy Diaries – bringing two beautiful children into the world, my relationship with Paul, building my businesses, creating a home together as a family, and of course all the wonderful memories with Billie and my family.

"I'm so grateful to ITV and Potato for giving me and my children the best home movies anyone could ask for, I could never have imagined 7 years ago that we would still be here today – 9 series on!

"But more importantly, I will be forever appreciative to our incredible viewers.

"There’s no family more entertaining than the Shepherds, so I can’t wait to sit back as a viewer for a change and watch the fun play out while I have a few adventures of my own away from the cameras."

Sam welcomed her third child into the world in May, a baby boy called Edward, but she has still regularly appeared on Billie and Greg’s show along with Edward and her older children Paul, six, and Rosie, four.

The last episode of the series saw Paul, Rosie and Sam's partner Paul Knightley heading over to Billie and Greg's new home to enjoy the first dinner party in the Shepherd household.
