Anyone who has been following Ariana Grande for a while knows that touring is not her most favorite thing to do.
Though she loves performing for her loyal fans all around the world, Grande’s emotional state has been taking a toll on her and the singer is now opening up about it.
In a recent Instagram post, Grande touches upon the emotional difficulty of going on tour and though she tries to push through, sometime her emotions get the better of her.
Ariana Grande committed to this tour during a difficult time in her life
When it comes to having an extremely emotional past year, Ariana Grande takes the cake.
From losing her ex-boyfriend to a drug overdose to calling off her engagement, 2018 definitely did not end on a high note for Grande.
Instead of taking a well-needed mental break, Ariana Grande poured herself into work.
Though her chart-topping hits and awards have shown for all of her hard work, Grande’s mental state has been suffering and the singer is finally opening up about it.
On July 7, Grande took to Instagram (in a now-deleted post) to share what it is like being on tour during a point in her life where she is “still processing a lot.”
“Tour is wild. life is wild. i’m grateful for the sea of love i have around me everyday and for the people who come to these shows and give all of us every ounce of energy they’ve got,” Grande shared on Instagram along with a photo of her during her Sweetener World Tour.
She then continued by explaining how grateful she is for the ongoing support she receives from those around her.
“I’m grateful to work with the best musicians and dancers in the world. i’m grateful for my voice and my team. i’m grateful for this music. I’m grateful for my tour bus driver, Kurt who bought me pickles yesterday because he saw we ran out,” she continued. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to sing to thousands of people every night. it’s a dream come true.”
Grande loves that her fans are very understanding
There are many celebrities out there who have a very supportive fan base but Ariana Grande’s fans are on a whole different level.
Arianators have known for a while how much Grande has been struggling mentally on tour and have shown their ongoing support for her these past few months.
Even though touring can get hard for her, the fans are what push Ariana Grande to continue performing night after night.
“I have committed to doing this tour during a time in my life when i’m still processing a lot … so sometimes i cry a lot!” Grande continued in her heartfelt Instagram post. “I thank you for accepting my humanness. i’m not sure what i did to deserve to meet so many loving souls every night / to feel so much love, but i want you to know that it really does carry me through. i feel it and i appreciate it. and all of you so much.”
At the end of the post, Grande shared a message to those who might be struggling emotionally as well.
“I’m sharing this because i’m grateful and because i want you to know that if you too are hurting, you can push through and are not alone,” she concluded. “It is hard to balance taking care of the people around you, doing your job, and healing / taking care of yourself at the same time… but i want you to know, you aren’t alone and i think you’re doing great.”
