The ‘Power’ star and co-creator appears to make light of the health crisis as he’s seen having a lot of fun throwing money to dancers at Starlet’s Gentlemen’s club in Woodside.
AceShowbiz –50 Cent won’t let the fear over coronavirus dampen his spirit to have fun. The “In da Club” rapper was spotted visiting a strip club in New York City on Saturday night, March 14, despite New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s call for social distancing in light of the virus outbreak.
In a video obtained by TMZ, the 44-year-old star was seen throwing cash to dancers at Starlet’s Gentlemen’s club in Woodside, just outside of Jackson Heights. He showed no worries at all as he was flashing a big smile while splashing the cash.
The “Power” star/co-creator also dressed like usual without protection at all, such as wearing gloves or a mask. According to eyewitnesses, he got even more excited and threw more money when the DJ played his own songs.
Fif’s strip club outing comes after NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo and NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio took some steps to slow the spread of coronavirus. On Sunday, Cuomo announced that all schools in New York City will be closed from Monday, March 15 as teachers are asked to report to work later in the week for training on how to provide remote learning. Mr. de Blasio also ordered that all bars and restaurants in the city to close, while restaurants would be limited to takeout and food delivery.
“I’m very, very concerned that we see a rapid spread of this disease, and it’s time to take more dramatic measures,” he said on late Sunday afternoon. “This is a decision I have taken with no joy and a lot of pain.”
Previously, NY Gov. Cuomo announced a ban on gatherings of more than 500 people, prompting Broadway to shut down all shows and plays from Thursday, March 12 until April 12. “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon“, “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and “The Wendy Williams Show”, which are all filmed in New York, have also announced decision to go dark from Friday.
