California woman sentenced after being found hidden heroin

A California woman was arrested on weapons charges and sentenced to seven years in prison for heroin.
Lucresia Stone-Rojas, 46, was initially arrested on November 12, 2023 after a license plate reader identified a stolen car in El Cajon Porsche. The Justice Department said that during the traffic stop, authorities found a 9mm Walther pistol and ammunition.
Stone-Rojas was charged by the federal government with illegal possession of a firearm because she had previously had a felony conviction. She had not been stolen from the vehicle.

“Smuggling drugs into our prisons endangered prisoners and correctional personnel. This will not be tolerated,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Andrew Haden. “Hopefully, this case will be directed to anyone willing to abuse faith and rehabilitation tools.” The people send warnings to perpetuate addiction and despair.”
