California wildfires: Police shoot down celebrity who spread arson theories

as Los Angeles wildfires As it continues to engulf parts of Southern California, destroying homes and displacing families, many are wondering how it all happened.
Authorities have dispatched arson investigators to Pacific Palisades to determine the origin of a fire that destroyed thousands of nearby buildings.
“The cause of the fire remains unknown and remains under active investigation,” Los Angeles Fire Chief Christine Crowley said Thursday.

But some celebrities aren’t buying the bill.
“There’s an arsonist in Los Angeles,” actor Henry Winkler wrote on X on Wednesday. “May you be beaten beyond recognition!!! The pain you caused!!!”
Actress Alison Sweeney simply replied: “Agreed.”
“Someone started a fire. This doesn’t make sense,” singer Chris Brown wrote on his Instagram Story on Thursday.
“Dancing with the Stars” pro Peta Murgatroyd shared a tweet originally posted by political and cultural media personality Xaviaer DuRousseau, which read: “At least five men in ski masks are causing trouble around Los Angeles/Southern California. fire.

Television personality Elizabeth Chambers posted a screenshot of reports of an alleged arson attack.

“It feels like more than just nature,” she wrote on Instagram Stories.
Celebrity podcaster and neuroscientist Andrew Huberman shared a video on X that purportedly shows a group of people standing near a fire that appeared to have just started in Santa Monica.
“People are setting fires in other unburned areas of Los Angeles,” Huberman claimed on X and attached a video. “We don’t need any more flames here. Some of them started fires…the trees were already on fire, the palm trees were on fire.”
Despite the claims, the LAPD told Fox News Digital, “We have not received any reports of arson.”
As of Thursday, Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone declared the Eaton and Palisade fires to be 0% contained. The Eaton Fire has grown to 10,600 acres and the Palisades Fire has grown to 17,234 acres.
Another wildfire in Acton is 40 percent contained, Marrone said. The fire is limited to 348 acres.
Firefighters were also able to stop the spread of the Sunset Fire. hollywood hillsofficials said.
