One of my more enduring midlife traits is that I’ve never really been familiar with TikTok. I can almost feel it giving me ADHD every time I try to use it. Because of this, it took me a minute to discover that one of the greatest stars buffy the vampire slayer Having been busy taking over social media, she’s now promising something that will make her most loyal fans ecstatic. Charisma Carpenter, best known for her role as Cordelia Chase, is now polling her TikTok followers to ask if they would be interested in her directing a film. Buffy Rewatch the podcast.
Charming Carpenter on TikTok
If you’re as anti-TikTok as I am, you might not realize how busy Charisma Carpenter has been Buffy Fans were entertained. She’s done it all, from fans’ crazy questions about how David Boreanaz smells to fans fawning over “naughty…potty mouths.” However, her content didn’t create as much buzz as her asking fans if they’d like her to reprise her podcast, and for good reason: If she’s willing to spill the tea, few actors in Joss Whedon’s vampire-slaying universe have a more Compelling stories to share.
One of the reasons for this is that Charisma Carpenter managed to juggle between two major series as a main cast member buffy the vampire slayer before turning moody Angel later split BuffySeason three is over. To put it mildly, Angel Completely different in setting, cast, and overall tone, I’d love to hear more about how Carpenter adapts her party-girl character into a new, noirish “whodunit” mystery world.

For example, AngelEarly episodes often seemed to treat Cordelia as someone in her early 20s rather than an 18-year-old high school graduate, and we’re curious to see how much of that was intentional and how much was accidental. As for the program itself, Angel The evolution has been so fast and so huge that each season is completely different from the one before it, and it would be beneficial to see how Charisma Carpenter copes with this after her departure Buffy (Ironically, the show remained essentially the same until her departure).
However, for those of us who like to hear the messy behind-the-scenes drama, the most compelling reason to listen to Charisma Carpenter Buffy Rewatching the podcast (assuming it ever worked) was to see if she learned more about franchise founder Joss Whedon. Whedon once had a reputation as Hollywood’s most prominent feminist, and one of the reasons for the change was the man Carpenter described on X (formerly Twitter) as having a “history of random cruelty.”
She claimed that after she got pregnant, he called her “fat,” questioned whether she would keep the baby, accused her of ruining the show with her pregnancy, and then fired her after she gave birth. The actor is understandably looking forward to becoming a mother, but she claims that joy was “sucked away” and she knows exactly who to blame: “Joss is a vampire.”

Long story short, I’m here to have Charming Carpenter revisit her Buffy glory days on TikTok, I was particularly disappointed with the Replay podcast she hosted. She’s clearly still passionate about her character and the fictional universe as a whole, as evidenced by her hilarious online videos and her role in the surprisingly good audio drama. Slayer: A Buffyverse Story. If she wanted to pour a whole gallon of tea over all the behind-the-scenes drama on the network’s most ambitious urban fantasy show in history, that’s just the Cordelia-shaped cherry on top of her complete dominance on social media.
