Boston College Hawks: 3 days after receiving work, former racing soccer leaf position

Matt McGloin, a former college football star and NFL quarterback, will begin to be part of the Boston College coaching staff in 2025, but he suddenly resigned less than three days.
Boston University president football coach Bill O’Brien told ESPN that McGloin resigned from the offensive analyst position for the program for family reasons. McGloin was Penn State’s quarterback in 2012, when O’Brien was the head coach.

McGloin issued a statement about the decision. ESPN reported on Monday that he was hired as O’Brien’s staff.
“This week, I made a difficult and life-changing decision without fully realizing the consequences of this for my wife and toddlers,” he said.
“I really think it’s my decision to accept the role in Boston to be good for my family, but after further considering the timing of this move, it turns out that timing of this move is not the best choice. I appreciate your respect for your family and my privacy at this time.”

He broke out in high school season with 3,271 yards and 24 touchdown passes.
McGloin joined the Oakland Raiders in 2013 and worked with them for four seasons. He played in 13 games and had 1,868 yards of passes and 11 touchdown passes.
