What started as a 12-team simulator golf match play tournament competing for a $150,000 grand prize has become a showdown between two teams.
Now 10 games complete, the GOLFZON Tour is a new league featuring regional teams of 5 players from 12 selected GOLFZON host facilities (9 of which are in the United States, with the others from London, Toronto and Mexico) In a series of competitions, one of the teams wins the grand prize.

Orlando beat Louisville in Game 1 and Minneapolis beat Chicago in Game 2. Defeated Mexico in a match. Orlando won the sudden-death playoffs to advance to the semifinals. In Game 6, Tulsa defeated Houston to become the second team to advance to the semifinals, and in Game 7, Detroit defeated New York. The last team to earn a spot in the semifinals was Los Angeles, who defeated Minneapolis in Game 8.
In the first semifinal of the tournament, Detroit defeated Orlando and punched its ticket to the tournament finals.
Format
In this single-elimination tournament, teams of three players connect simulators over the Internet in a match play format and compete head-to-head, with two of each team’s three best scores on each hole. name. The number of yards played by female players is 85% of that of male players.
If there is a tie after 18 holes, the game will go into a sudden-death playoff in which all three players’ scores will be counted. The first team to score lower than the other team on a hole wins.
GOLFZON Tour Game 10 Recap: Los Angeles vs. Tulsa
The GOLFZON Tour semi-finals were held at an iconic venue: Pebble Beach Golf Links, the annual home of the PGA Tour’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and home to several U.S. Opens. venue. Teams compete in real-time at their respective regional simulator locations.
Los Angeles struck early, winning three of the first four holes, but Tulsa rallied with a win on the fifth hole to close the gap to two points. The advantage returned to more than 3 points.
On the iconic par-3 No. 7, Tulsa made a crucial birdie to win the hole and pull back to two strokes behind. The eighth and ninth holes were tied, and Los Angeles entered the second half with a 2-1 advantage.
Tulsa won the 10th hole to fall within one shot, but Los Angeles quickly rebounded with a victory on the 12th hole to push the lead back to two shots. Los Angeles’ clutch birdie on No. 13 proved to be a big moment. At the time, Los Angeles led by three strokes with five holes to play — not an entirely insurmountable deficit for Tulsa, but a tough challenge for a team that wasn’t already leading the game. .
When the two teams reached the 16th tee, Tulsa faced a must-win situation to extend the game. They fought hard and made two birdies, but Los Angeles matched them and won 3-2.
With the win, Los Angeles now becomes one of only two teams still competing for the $150,000 grand prize and will face Detroit in the final round of the GOLFZON Tour.
