Genesis Invitational 2025: How to watch, timetable, more

Fans will have to wait to see Tiger Woods on the PGA Tour. The 15-time major champion is expected to debut this week at the Genesis Invitational at the San Diego Torrey Pines’ Southern Field, and he is still dealing with his mother’s death and will not play if so. Woods said he still wants to play because of the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, which migrated from its traditional home at the Riviera Country Club in the California Pacific Palisde.
The first round invitation letter for the Genesis Invitational will be nine days since the death of Woods’ 80-year-old mother Kultida.
Although Woods won’t play at Torrey Pines, the star-studded field will still include 46 of the world’s top 50 golfers, including world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, four-time main champion Ronaldo Rory McIrroy and defending champion hideki Matsuyama. The field will have a total competition of $20 million, and the winner will take home $4 million.
