Arizona State’s Cam Skattebo shows confidence ahead of CFP game: ‘No one can stop me’

Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo is having a career year with the Sun Devils, running for over 1,500 yards and 19 touchdowns.
He confidently became a Big 12 champion while helping the Sun Devils earn a bye into the College Football Playoff quarterfinals. Even with a few weeks to prepare for the Texas Longhorns, the confidence hasn’t gone away.

“Nobody can stop me,” he told reporters via ESPN before Monday’s Peach Bowl game.
“They keep saying people are going to try to stop me. No one can stop me. We played 13 games and I was a target in every game, so I’m not too worried. We’re going to play our game and play well, See what happens.
Scatterbo said he respects the Longhorns and what they bring to the defense and likes that defenses see him as a threat every time he touches the ball. Scatterbo rushed for two touchdowns against Iowa State in the Big 12 Championship Game and then rushed for three touchdowns in back-to-back games against Arizona and BYU.
Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt also wants to prove that the Sun Devils have the better quarterback.

Texans’ Archie Manning shoots down transfer rumors ahead of CFP game
“I’ve been watching him for a long time,” he said Saturday when asked about Ewers. “I’m excited about this opportunity. People have been counting me out since day one and I’m going to prove why I’m the better quarterback.”
Under head coach Kenny Dillingham, the Sun Devils reached 11 wins for the first time since 1996 under Bruce Snyder. That year, Arizona State reached the Rose Bowl but lost to Ohio State.
Arizona State has no doubt its luck would have been much different.
Longhorns star Quinn Ewers, on the other hand, doesn’t want to get caught up in the hype heading into Wednesday’s tipoff.
