Apple’s chief analyst: New M4 MacBook Air may be available earlier than expected – Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL)

What happened: Bloomberg columnist on Monday Mark GurmanHe, who has extensive experience predicting Apple’s moves, gave an update.

He said that while the new entry-level iPad (11th generation), iPhone SEand refreshed iPad Air Models are expected to be released in the spring, with the M4 MacBook Air now expected to arrive sooner.

Gurman previously reported that the new M4 MacBook Air models, available in 13-inch and 15-inch sizes, will be largely similar to their 2022 predecessors. The models are expected to be launched between January and March following a December software update.

The analyst also reported that Mac Studio There has been a slight delay.

Apple did not immediately respond to Benzinga’s request for comment.

Why it’s important: In October 2024, Apple announced fourth-quarter revenue of US$94.9 billion, exceeding analysts’ forecast of US$94.56 billion.

Mac revenue totaled $7.74 billion, up slightly from $7.61 billion the previous year.

In the fourth quarter of 2023, Mac sales fell 34% from $11.5 billion in the same period a year earlier. For all of 2023, Mac revenue totaled $29.4 billion, compared with $40.2 billion in 2022.

Price Action: Apple shares are up 37.51% year to date. According to Benzinga Pro, the stock fell 0.13% in after-hours trading, reaching $254.95 at press time.
