Apple reportedly plans to combine its modem with future processors as a single software package

Apple’s first in-house cellular modem C1 announced last week, and while it doesn’t detail it, the company reportedly has some major plans for future iterations. according to S Mark Gurman, “Apple intends to eventually incorporate modem components into the main processor.” Integrating modem into the main processor may have energy and cost advantages, but the design is still certain.
