Women’s Growth Already announced Women’s Growth Foundation, 501(c)(3) Nonprofits are committed to promoting women entrepreneurs and professionals in the cannabis industry through advocacy, education and funding. The foundation will be officially launched at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center.

“The Women’s Growth Foundation is committed to empowering women in cannabis through strategic funding, guidance and policy advocacy.” Dr. Chanda Macias, Women CEOs grow. “By addressing systemic barriers and providing targeted resources, we aim to create lasting change and meaningful opportunities for women at all stages of their careers and businesses.”

Stearns Bank promises $15,000 support

At the press conference, Stearns Bank A $15,000 contribution will be made to strengthen its commitment to supporting women with marijuana. This contribution highlights the role of the financial industry in promoting equity in the industry. “While data suggest that female-led venture capital is comparable to male-led peers, female entrepreneurs receive only 3% of venture capital funds,” Dr Macias said.

The Foundation’s Mission and Focus Areas

The Women’s Growth Foundation aims to address the major obstacles that have historically hindered the progress of the cannabis industry. It will operate according to the annual membership model and focus on three main areas:

Legalization and policy reform

• Advocate for policy changes at the state and federal levels
• Support grassroots legislative efforts
• Ensure diversified representation in regulatory discussions

Entrepreneurs and funds

• Linking women to grants and investment opportunities
• Provide business development education
• Helping women overcome economic barriers to start and expand their business

Career Development

• Provide guidance plans
• Provide professional training
• Assist in job placement and career development

Membership and financial support

Membership of the Women’s Growth Foundation will receive early access to funding opportunities, business development resources, and networks with industry leaders. Member options include:

• Student Membership – $79/year
• Company Membership – $500/year
• Women’s Growth Circle Plan – $1,000- $5,000/year

Funding from the Foundation will come from membership, individual and corporate contributions, foundation grants, and state and federal programs. Industry partners and corporate sponsors will play a vital role in supporting their advocacy efforts and community initiatives.
