Ali Fedotowsky reveals late Bachelor star inspired her vegan diet

Fedotowsky, 40, explained during the Monday, Dec. 23 episode of the show Caitlin Bristow‘s “Off the Vine” podcast said she got “very sick” while hosting a travel show called “First Look” and eating different cuisines. in an event Bachelor In New York, Fedotovsky began discussing her fight with Alleman.
“I told her how I was feeling, and she said, ‘You should try pescatarian. I’ve been pescatarian for years. I feel great. Which means, just eating fish and stuff like that. I was like, ‘ OK,'” Fedotovsky said. “So we had this dinner, and then, about 10 days later, she passed away.”

“After that, I thought, ‘Oh, I’m going to eat pescatarian for two weeks,’ like we were doing for dinner,” Fedotovsky said. “When this happens, every time I go to eat a bite of meat, or think about it, I can’t do it because I think about Gia.”
Fedotovsky continued, “I haven’t had a bite of meat since I had dinner with her 14, 13 years ago, and I’ve been vegetarian ever since.”

The former Bachelorette explained that she “hadn’t really told the full story” until now. “I’ve said it before, like briefly in an Instagram story, but that’s what it’s about today,” she said.
Fedotovsky, later married Kevin Manno In 2017, she explained, her husband also began eliminating meat from his diet. (Fedotowski and Manno, 41, have daughter Molly, 8, and son Riley, 6.)
“My husband, when I met him, he was a total meat eater, and then we watched some documentaries and that’s when he became vegan,” she said. “Now, he’s not because we live in the South and it’s harder to find things.”
Reflecting on her friendship with Allemande, Fedotovsky explained that the two reconnected after the show.
“We actually have a bit of a conflict Bachelorbut then got back together after anything more indicative of what kind of person she was,” Fedotowsky said, calling Aleman “very cute.”
