Canada will play the United States in the 4-country finals later this week, which will be a rematch of their weekend’s fierce showdown, when three games exploded in nine seconds.

Brad Marchand and Nathan Mackinnon expressed excitement about joining the United States again after defeating Finland 5-3 on Monday afternoon.

“Obviously, we’re very excited about another crack in these guys. Of course, it’s going to be a fierce game.”

“We feel like we can beat those guys, and we plan to play better on Thursday,” he said.

The Americans’ losses to Sweden took a hit, ending the round spinning part of the game. Brady Tkachuk left in the second phase after colliding with Sweden’s Samuel Ersson. Auston Matthews and Charlie McAvoy were scraped from the roster.

US head coach Mike Sullivan said the team is looking forward to the game.

I think it’s great for the pair, and these two teams have a chance to meet again,” Sullivan said. “Obviously, both teams have the power of stardom in the roster.” .
