Two homeless men shot to death near Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles

Two homeless men were shot to death early Saturday morning on a street near Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles, police said.
The shooting happened around 12:50 a.m. in the 500 block of South Los Angeles Street, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Jeff Lee said. Lee said both men were shot multiple times and the third victim was “uncooperative” and refused medical treatment.
The victim has not been identified.
Lee said there are no suspects and it’s unclear whether the shooting was gang-related.

Footage captured by OnScene.tv shows the shooting taking place in front of Yunyan Store. The store, located at Sixth and Los Angeles Wholesale Plaza, also sells clothing, plants, oils and other items.
One of the victims can be seen lying in front of the smoke shop.
Plaza staff, who declined to give their names, told The Times on Saturday that large crowds often use drugs in the neighborhood. Crack, speed, methamphetamine and fentanyl were all openly used, according to workers.
According to locals, Yunyan Store is open 24 hours a day.
Steven, who was staying in a nearby hotel and declined to give his last name, said he had been beaten twice in the street.
“It’s very dangerous here,” he said. “Just walking to the store was a battle.”
The shooting also happened just a block away from the Los Angeles Police Department.
