Actress eviscerates Prince Harry and Meghan Markle over shameless ‘photo’

A furious Hollywood actress and producer says wildfire relief efforts by British expats Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle are falling short of expectations.
Family Ties star Justin Bateman has expressed his displeasure with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass’ administration and slammed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the wake of Southern California’s catastrophic wildfires. Consider this an insensitive “photo op” at a victim evacuation center.
“Meghan Markle and Harry are no better than ambulance chasers,” a distraught Bateman, 58, wrote to X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday night. “What a disgusting ‘photo op’ they pulled off.”

“Are they ‘touring the damaged areas’?” she asked, referring to media clips she shared on social media. “Are they politicians now? They don’t live here; they’re tourists. Disaster tourists.”

Footage shot by Fox 11 Los Angeles showed Harry and Markle socializing in Pasadena on Friday with the city’s mayor, Victor Gordo.
Fox News Digital has also learned that Prince Harry and Markle have opened their home to friends and family who have been forced to evacuate, and have donated clothing, children’s items and other necessities to help affected communities.

Many users agreed with Bateman’s assessment of the royal family and praised her honesty. Others praised the couple’s philanthropy.
Bateman went on a tirade against California officials and their handling of wildfires. Bateman, who lives in the Hollywood Hills, said in an interview with Jesse Waters on Friday that she was “very unhappy” with the situation in her city. “If you’re going to run a city, or run a state, you’ve got to take care of the basics. That’s [to] Make sure your fire and police departments[s] Sufficient funds.
“If you don’t do everything you can to solve the problems that arise, then get lost. You are of no use to us,” she declared.

Representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
According to California The Department of Forestry and Fire Protection says three fires are currently burning in Los Angeles: fence fire (11% contained), Eaton Fire (27% contained), and Hurst Fire (89% contained).
As of Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner reported that 16 people had died in the fire.
