Footage shows man slamming woman to the ground during Attleborough road rage incident

A Rhode Island man is facing charges after a video showed him throwing a woman to the ground following a crash Friday morning, authorities said.

Gladior Kwesiah, 26, of Pawtucket, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (sidewalk) causing serious bodily injury, malicious damage to property and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

At around 8:50 a.m., police responding to multiple 911 calls about a crash at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 1A found a petite 31-year-old woman crying in the roadway, with blood coming from her head and visible injuries. pain, according to Attleboro police.

The woman was later determined to be 5 feet tall and weigh 110 pounds.

The responding officer said he saw a tall man, later identified as Kwesiah, standing next to the woman.

The victim, Hailea Soares, spoke to Boston 25 News after she was released from the hospital Friday night.

Suarez, a mother of two, said the incident began when Quesia harassed her in a road rage incident on Route 1 and ended with him slamming on the brakes, forcing her to crash into his car.

When Suarez got out of the truck, she said Quasia tried to take her phone and threw her to the ground. Witness video shows Suarez trying to fight off Quaccia before slamming her head into the pavement.

“When a man lifts you almost over your head and throws you to the ground, yes, you start to wonder if you’re going to wake up again after that,” Suarez said. “I rolled over and blood dripped onto my hands. That’s when I realized I couldn’t move, I couldn’t stand.

Witnesses told police Quasia kept banging on the roof of the victim’s car before pulling her out of the car. The two allegedly started yelling at each other when the woman said, “Don’t bother me!” before the suspect body-slammed the victim.

Suarez was taken to Rugged Memorial Hospital with a broken knee, broken foot, severe damage to his eye socket and a head injury that required eight stitches.

Quasicia was brought to Attleboro District Court for arraignment.
