Acadiana Waste Service resumes trash collection in Lafayette on Friday with adjusted schedule

Lafayette Unified Government and Acadiana Waste Services announced that AWS will resume curbside residential waste collection on Friday, January 24th.

LCG said all other curbside services (recycling, yard waste, etc.) have been suspended to prioritize residential waste removal using all available trucks, personnel and equipment.

When is the trash expected to be picked up?

  • Trash routes for Tuesday and Wednesday will be collected on Friday, January 24th.

  • Trash routes for Thursday and Friday will be collected on Saturday, January 25th.

All curbside collections will resume normal operations starting Monday, January 27.
