Timothee Chalamet and Elle Fanning channel Wicked’s “Holding Space” meme

Gilchrist jokingly introduced himself to Chalamet and Fanning, “First of all, I just want you to know that I’m holding space for you.”
Fanning, 26, replied: “Thank you, I’m starstruck!” Chalamet, 29, agreed with his co-star’s assessment, adding: “Yeah, I’m starstruck.”
The two then perfectly executed their version of the now-infamous one-finger hold Grande, 31, gave Erivo, 37, last month.

Fanning admitted that no matter what she and Chalamet did, they couldn’t top Erivo and Grande’s viral moments.

“So I don’t know what any part of it means,” the pop star told type earlier this month. “I didn’t understand the first sentence. Then I definitely didn’t understand what happened and how it happened [Cynthia] responded. I was like, “Oh, what did she say, what did you hear?” I just wanted to be there because I knew something big was going on. I don’t know how to get there.
Grande went on to say that she grabbed Erivo’s fingers because she thought her partner “might need something,” but admitted she didn’t know why she started tapping them.
However, just like everyone else online, Grande loves the memes.
“I feel so relieved that the whole world is going through the same thing as me, because I’m like, ‘Oh, I’m not broken,'” she quipped. “The best thing is to really leave space.”
