Rapper OG Maco died of suspected gunshot wounds at the age of 32

Mako’s real name was Benedict Chiajulam Ihesiba Jr., and his cause of death has not been made public. It was previously reported that he suffered a gunshot wound. TMZ claimed earlier this month that police were called to Maco’s Los Angeles home after a gun went off. Mako was reportedly taken to a local hospital for surgery.
“He is currently in critical but stable condition,” Macy’s family wrote in a statement on Dec. 16. “He is receiving the best care and we are hopeful that he will continue to fight. … We are grateful Your understanding, support and continued prayers during this difficult time.
Marco is survived by his parents and sister.

Maco rose to fame in 2014 with the release of his debut single “U Guessed It”, which 2 chanz.
“It’s crazy because every day I wake up, I’m more famous,” he quipped to Vice later that year. “I think that’s true for everyone in this city who finally makes it. It’s been a long time of ‘You’re angry because, you know, I’m fine! But no one’s paying attention!’
At the time, Maco noted that he writes songs based on his emotions.
“I draw strength from it. But because I rap, it’s not just pure yelling,” he explained to the outlet. “It’s formatted, but it’s really just pure emotion on my part.”
