The podcast host shared details of her weight gain via a video posted on TikTok on Thursday, December 27.
“We have exciting news. I think I’ve gained 11 pounds. I know, I know,” LaPaglia, 25, happily declares in the video. “It’s great, it’s great because I have my appetite again and I’m eating. I’m like, dumbass, you haven’t eaten in a year, but maybe relax a little bit.
LaPaglia went on to explain why she was so excited about the weight gain, saying she initially lost the weight to cope with the stress of her breakup with Bryan, 28.
“If you’re confused, I’ve lost a lot of weight. It’s a toxic, horrible, horrible situation. I’m going through something bad mentally, but I can’t eat, I’m skin and bones, so I started forcing myself to eat junk food,” she said. “Like, I was eating pasta all the time, fast food — anything bad, and it would make me gain weight.”
The “BFFs” podcast host went on to detail some of the body changes she’s been going through recently.

“The jeans started clinging to my thighs. My thighs were no longer baggy. The double chin, it’s back! I don’t know if it’s really gone,” she said. “These things make me happy, they make me feel good. It took me three months to get my appetite back. Like I said, I really felt like, I was hungry.
She continued: “It’s possible that this is happening, and gaining weight is not a bad thing. Sometimes it can actually be a very good thing. It’s a very good sign that things are going well.
When the country music star publicly announced the former couple’s split in October via Instagram, LaPaglia claimed she was “blindsided.”
The following month, LaPaglia shared in a TikTok video that she unintentionally lost 15 pounds after her relationship broke up and she was so distraught that she couldn’t eat.
“It wasn’t that I didn’t want to eat. My body was not feeling well from the mental experience,” she explained. “When you’re constantly fighting or fleeing, your body becomes so anxious that you throw up, can’t eat, can’t hold anything down.”
