As 2024 comes to a close, I want to reflect on a remarkable year for Royal Caribbean Group. We launched groundbreaking ships like Icon of the Seas, Silverlight and Utopia of the Seas, and enjoyed our first year-round Celebrity Ascent sailings, setting new standards for the best vacation experiences.
We launched industry-first innovations, such as our loyalty status matching program and upgraded apps for seamless vacation planning, and resumed operations in China to welcome more travelers back to sea.
Our vision for the future continues to take shape through projects like Perfect Day Mexico and Royal Beach Club Cozumel, as well as new ships including the debut of Star of the Seas and Celebrity Xcel, and Icon IV is not far behind. From the Decarbonization Summit to expanding the use of biofuels, our sustainability work continues to make progress. These milestones highlight our commitment to innovation and responsible travel.

Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean International CEOs share holiday wishes

As we look back on 2024, I am proud of the milestones we have achieved together on Celebrity Cruises. This year we celebrated our first full year of sailing with Celebrity Ascent, a very fun Presidential cruise in the Caribbean, a perfect day sailing for the first time on CocoCay, and a wonderful experience in bringing Celebrity Xcel to life with her A big step was taken with the keel laying ceremony.
We’ve performed more than 6,000 theatrical performances, featured more than 500 musicians and 700 performers, served 32.5 million drinks and served countless crème brûlées and espresso martinis. We also launched a loyalty tier matching program that allows Captains Club members to enjoy tier matching on Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean and Silversea Cruises.
These achievements would not be possible without the support of our dedicated team of celebrities ashore and onboard, as well as our valued partners and guests. Thank you all for making 2024 an extraordinary year. Sending you holiday cheer and best wishes for a happy and successful New Year!
