Artem Chigvintsev returns to Instagram following Nikki Garcia divorce

Chigvintsev and Garcia started dating in 2019, two years after they competed together Decentralized WTS Season 25.
Shortly after Chigvintsev and Garcia celebrated their second wedding anniversary last August, the professional dancer was arrested and charged with felony domestic violence following an apparent argument with his then-wife. (Charges against him were dropped in September after a “thorough” investigation, the Napa County district attorney said Alison Haley shared at the time.
Following the incident with the former WWE Divas, both Chigvintsev and Garcia filed for divorce, requesting full custody of Matteo, while Chigvintsev requested joint custody. They each filed for restraining orders against each other, which were later revoked.

“Nikki and Artem have settled their divorce and will not be going to court,” Garcia’s rep said in a statement. “The parties have decided to withdraw the domestic violence restraining orders against each other in an effort to move on with their lives and effectively raise their son.”
Garcia broke her silence about the divorce during a December episode of her podcast “The Nikki and Brie Show,” which she hosts with her twin sister Brie Garcia.
“I’m heartbroken,” Garcia told the audience. “You dream of having this family, that you have this incredible love, but it’s just the opposite. You go from a great love story to a terrible love story.
Garcia further explained her silence, noting that she wanted to “disconnect” and put Mateo’s needs first.
“I am a mother and my son’s protection and privacy are of the utmost importance,” she said. “The bottom line is that I will do whatever it takes and then just need space to heal and face the trauma head-on.”
Dealing with the divorce has been “a struggle” over the past few months, she said.
“I know as a public figure I have to say something about this, right?” Garcia pointed out. “After this, I never want to talk about it again [it] Again, because I do want Mateo to have privacy. This is the most important part.
