Interstate 485 closed Friday morning in South Charlotte due to the crash involving an NC Highway Patrol cruiser and another car.
It happened around 9:30 am on the South Boulevard exit.

Chopper 9 Skyzoom on the wreckage under the railway bridge. Traffic seemed to be backing up for miles. Delays are expected in the area.
