NBA News: Steph Curry becomes the first player in NBA history with 4,000 3-pointers

Steph Curry continued to portray his name in NBA history books during the Golden State Warriors’ 130-104 win over the Sacramento Kings Thursday night.
Curry became the first player in NBA history to score 4,000 3-pointers in victory.
Curry achieved this feat with 8:19 left in the third quarter. The star point guard received a pass from Moses Moody, fumped the pump, dribbled the ball quickly, then raised and nailed the controversial shot.

In the timeout after Curry’s 3-pointer, the Warriors played video messages from the former Warriors, who was the former Warriors Center who assisted Curry’s first career 3-pointer.
“When I saw (biedrins), I called it emotional moments on the bench. They didn’t tell me they found him and got a video message from him. That was my rookie season here for the vet.”
“I would love to ask our team on the bench to see if anyone knows who that is because that was a long time ago… it was really cool and it was crazy to think back on my distance from the first to four thousand.”
Curry said he could feel the energy in the buildings in his witness history.

“From the beginning of the game, I could feel my first three games, even the second game I shot and missed, it was an adrenaline surge, and they were with me every moment tonight,” Curry said.
“When the second guy came in, I knew there were still many games, so I tried not to surpass myself. But it was a special moment to make them feel that energy and let them enjoy the milestones and achievements with me.”
Two MVPs scored 11 points and 5 assists, hitting 2-6 in the win’s 3-point shooting, while Draymond Green scored a season-best 23 points to lead the team.

“Eight thousand.” He joked.
