Trump says boycotting Tesla is “illegal”, and lawyers smile at him
Donald Trump has posted the truth social on defending supporters and unelected bureaucrat Elon Musk in today’s version of “The New Hell Every Day”.
Donald Trump praises Elon Musk
Often, Trump’s journal of Truth Society is very negligible, but it’s the tickling person…especially lawyers and legal experts. Look, Trump said, “Radical Left Madman” is “trying to resist Tesla illegally and collidedly.”
Trump and Musk stand together. Trump wearing a red hat, musk in black leather jacket, gesturing while talking
In some cases, this is why Trump is going to post this content first. Tesla’s stock price has plummeted since Musk’s involvement in the Trump administration. You can see in the chart below that the price for January is only $450 and now it is about $230. It fell by 42% in just a few months.
Stock charts show a sharp drop in TSLA prices from mid-January to early March
Of course, there are many factors that affect stock prices (many think Tesla is overvalued), but one can imagine alienating the largest group of electric car buyers (liberals) and making gestures that look like a salute with the Nazis, which could cause your sales to fall. Many car buyers are boycotting Tesla, and some Tesla owners, including Sheryl Crow, are trading their vehicles out of protest.
Comments in R/Law Subreddit (as you can imagine, have been discussing Trump lately – the stupidity of a particular part of the post: Trump calls boycott Tesla “illegal.” Of course, boycott is not illegal: First, Americans have the right to protest under the First Amendment (current) First Amendment, and second, if boycott is illegal, it will force everyone to buy Tesla (????).
Reddit’s comment comes from Oystermeat: “I’m breaking the law if I don’t buy it? It’s stupid”
Others in Subreddit pointed out that Trump’s position itself is closer to illegal than Tesla’s boycott due to the Incubation Act, which prevents elected officials from engaging in political movements.
Jackleggjr’s comment: “Guess The Hatchery is no longer valid. The illegal one is a current president selling shit from the White House”
(Lol, remember when people were caring about hatcheries?)
One commentator pointed out that the Anti-Boycott Act of 2018 will resist it if foreign countries “imposed” it. Personally, I think Americans are more likely to be talked about.
Commentary discussion on the legitimacy of boycott, citing the 2018 Anti-Boycott Act, the second comment reiterates that it is impossible to force people to buy Teslas
Then there is the fact that the current government is very vocal about the end of the tax credits for the purchase of electric vehicles. During the campaign, Trump even mistakenly suggested that Kamala Harris would authorize electric cars and end sales of all gasoline-powered cars.
The first user comments on how the government deletes EV credits, the second humorously responds to EV buying eggs in the bathroom
Seriously, to say the least, the Margo people are Not passionate Generally speaking, about electric cars. Does Trump expect them to buy Tesla now? Even the more conservative Seibuke-style Seibuke-style starts at $80,000. In this economy?
Nonlawyer’s comments on how they suspect Trump’s support now suddenly falls in love with electric cars
Meanwhile, in R/Fauxmoi Subreddit, people are just kidding:
Randomb’s comment: “This is indeed Elon’s child. He is not taking care of it, like the other 15 babies he has”
Personally, my favorite little bit is Trump saying people “collision” to boycott. Well, yes, usually, if you boycott you, you are conspiring with someone else.
Anyway, in all these aspects, one thing is clear:
Comment from user BitHistorical: “Okay, so boycott is obviously working.”
