Newsom’s “unfair” remarks about women’s sports cover up his record: “Absolute Bull—“

California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom, who stood out last week through partisan stance on sports trans women, sparked controversy, but his record of pro-trans legislation shows that his comments “calculate” to make the 2028 presidential bid appear more moderate, according to a well-known parent rights activist.
“It’s all about paving the way for his presidential campaign,” Julie Hamill, a California prosecutor and trustee of the Peninsula Unified School District of Palos Vers, told Fox News Digital Digital in an interview.
“He obviously wants to be president, and if you want to be president, you have to convince most countries that you are moderate,” Hamil said.

While Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown signed protections for trans athletes in 2013 in previous Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown, Newsom has carried the torch since taking office in 2019 and passed several legislations that have provided some protections to the state’s transgender people and procedures.
“He will try to sell himself to Democrats across the country, i.e. he is a guy who can lead the party, and he is a moderate guy, and he hopes people like me and people who are frustrated in California won’t figure out what we are about to figure out how he ruled the state.”
In 2020, Newsom signed legislation that allows trans prison inmates to be placed in facilities that identify with gender rather than their biological gender. The law also requires prisoners to resolve through preferred pronouns and searches conducted by individuals that match the inmate’s gender identity.
In September 2022, California became the first state to announce a shelter for transgender youth, providing legal protection for out-of-state minors seeking surgery and hormonal treatment.
After several lawsuits against the California school district, they opposed the notification policy of hiding gender identity from their parents, Newsom signed a law last year that prohibits school staff from being asked to inform parents about the student’s transgender status.

“For trans children, suicide rates are high and will get higher after the procedures are implemented,” Hamil said of supporting academic futures and educators in support of today’s Youth (Safety) Act.
“So, you know, his claim to these kids is an absolute bull—,” she said. “You can’t hide the key information about the information that kids experience in their parents.”

In a federal lawsuit against the Department of Education, Hamill represents fifth-grade girls who are “informed that they must be given room assignments at overnight science bootcamps and with someone identified as female but are not actually female.” Newsom said she said “has the ability to act as a leader of the California party to push for the repeal or amend these laws.”
“If he doesn’t do that, what will happen is that these schools on the subject of my Title IX complaint will lose their federal funds,” she said. “And then, when that happens, we’ll see Newsom and Democrats accusing evil Republicans of depriving the school of funds.”

Newsom told conservative activist and TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk on the first broadcast of his new podcast, “This is Gavin Newsom” that he agreed that biology men in sports were “very unfair” last week. His comments sparked anger from his LGBTQ supporters and progressive wings.
Kirk asked Newsom: “As governor, you should go out and say no. Would you do something like this? Would you say there is no man Women’s sports? ”
“Well, I think it’s a fair question,” Newsom answered. “I totally agree with you. It’s very unfair.”
Trump signed an executive order in February titled “Disenging men from women’s movement,” which says transgender athletes in women’s movement “depreciate, unfair and dangerous to women and girls.” The order requires institutions that receive federal funds to comply with Chapter IX and follow the definition of biology.

A day later, the NCAA, who is in charge of college sports, imposed a ban. More than twenty states now block trans athletes from entering school sports.
Newsom noted that he had four children, including two daughters, and emphasized that both he and his wife participated in college-level sports.
“I admire the movement, so the issue of fairness is completely legal,” Newsom said.
