When it comes to golf and travel, we have one word for you: Wales.
Not the mammal you see on Kapalua. We are referring to the proud country of Britain, which becomes a sleeper destination for gaming lovers.
Wales is often clouded by matches nearby (Scotland and Ireland), which has long been high and in the recent episode of the Tastional Golf Podcast, it billed boldly, when co-hosts Simon Holt and Josh Sens nominated for the world’s most underrated golf.
Sens chose Wales as one of his four draft picks, listing layouts like Royal Porthcawl, Royal St. David, Pennard and Southern Down, evidence of a country that hasn’t reached golf. From the championship venue to the quirky lessons set up on the common field, Wales has it all. But its products tend to escape the notifications of sleek magazines.
Other options for Sens are Dominican Republic, Dogs and Punta Espada’s dental title is a top-notch resort. Portugal (if you think golf there is limited to Algarve, it will take some time to get close to Lisbon); and Canada, options range from Highland Links, Golden Age classics like Banff and Jasper to the masterpiece of the smallest modern person, Cabot Cape Breton. Next time you want to book a trip, don’t forget our friends in the North.
Holt fights back with his own quartet. New Zealand ranks number one on his list. Te Arai and Tara Iti are new additions to the two recent shocking combination of seaside clubs, including the Kidnappers and Kauri Cliffs. Holt fenced up and went to England with another nameless star from Japan, the Netherlands and Britain.
