Star Wars original drama cutoff controversy proves Disney is the Empire

If you’re a big fan of Star Wars, you might be subscribed to Disney+ so you can experience everything from the far-reaching galaxy. Well, almost all: Until today, the House of Mouse never made an original non-special version of the original trilogy version that can be used for a physical or digital release of fans. Incredibly, the fact that the original cut of decades of Star Wars movies was unceremoniously knocked down through Roku’s Cinema Box app is a fact that Disney has become an empire against making fans of the studio.
Star Wars original cuts streaming controversy
When we say this Star Wars Original clip, we’re talking about the version before the movie even received subtitles, New Hope. This means the movie cinema version was aired before 1981, when George Lucas first named it Episode 4. The version of the movie disappeared when the movie box was removed from Roku, but the non-special version of the iconic movie’s free third-party app proves how much Disney has on fans, even if they put the franchise on the ground.
At this point, some Star Wars fans (especially young fans) may question why it is so important to the original editing of these movies, especially since the special edition is already available on streaming. One reason, of course, is aesthetics: later revisions make every movie even more ugly…like, check out the terrible CGI music sequences, added to Jabba’s palace. They also effectively ruin some of the best scenarios. For example, George Lucas ensured that Han Solo would no longer shoot Greedo first and had Darth Vader say “no” repeatedly while Luke Skywalker was defeated by powerful lightning.
However, the main reason why Star Wars original cuts should be streamed on Disney+ is that the versions of these movies are the versions that fans of the entire generation have grown up to watch. For reasons that have never been completely clear, non-special versions of these movies have never been streamed on Blu-ray or through more official channels. Incredibly the only way fans will usually experience these original versions is to pirate them, and since most fans don’t want to break the law and even less know where to watch it, the best version of this legendary sci-fi trilogy is possible no way Another fan watched legally.
Without wearing a fully gilded hat, we can’t see anything other than Disney’s Little Power Movement.
