I am the mother of four children, but my eldest son, Weston, lost. Weston was 15 years old when Fentanyl’s medicine poisoned him in 2022.

My son is not an addict. He is a vibrant and active boy with a big heart. He attends church twice a week, plays soccer and hockey, surfs the Pacific Ocean, and can light the room with a smile.

I tried to be the best mom I could be, cheer him up during the game, cook family dinners, volunteer at school, but none of that would save him from tearing our poison apart.

Due to the bad border policies of the previous government, our children can no longer learn from their mistakes. Now they are dead.

Weston’s death was not overdose. This is a kind of poisoning. Like many teenagers, he wanted to adapt and made the mistake of taking pills from friends, thinking it was safe. A pill. A mistake. That’s all about robbing our future and stealing my son from our family.

I represent a border area flooded by illegal immigration. What I see now may surprise you

Due to the bad border policies of the previous government, our children can no longer learn from their mistakes. Now they are dead.

I held Joe Biden and every Democrat who advocated the border were responsible for my son’s death. Everyone!

When Biden took office in 2021, we lived in Southern California and he hit the door to our nationwide opening. With cartels, traffickers and fentanyl influx, our borders become a chaotic highway. I never thought I would take my son away from me one day. That will never happen in my house. This is the only thing you see in the news.

Biden, Harris

But the policies of Biden and his “Border Tsar” Kamala Harris are flooding our streets. They allow this to happen and families like me pay the price for their reckless policies.

Mexico and cartels and Americans violate international law

Illegal fentanyl is now the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18 to 45, causing nearly 70% of the 110,000 “overdose” deaths we see in this country each year. One medicine… There is only one medicine that can end life. Weston’s death proves this.

It has nothing to do with addiction; it is such a deadly and addictive supply, which is inevitable. Where does it come from? Mexico, its cartels operate without restrictions; Canada, the fentanyl laboratory suddenly appeared under the supervision of Lax; and China, it is shipping today’s nightmare chemicals. These countries do nothing when our children die.

That’s why I’m so grateful to President Donald Trump. He is taking the fentanyl crisis seriously and I hope we saw that when Weston was still alive. President Trump is imposing tariffs on tariffs imported from Canada, Mexico and China to keep them accountable for allowing the poison to flow freely into our country.

He is not only talking about this issue. President Trump attacked the countries that were hurt: right in his wallet. The president believes they have not done enough, nor does I. Mexico’s government cod cartel. Canada allows laboratories to spread. China is flooding the market with precursors. Enough!

Four Tough Questions of Mayors in Four “Sanitation Cities”

These tariffs are a timid awakening call to force accountability. They said to our neighbors and trading partners: Stop drugs or pay the price.

Some critics complain about the costs of these tariffs, but I ask, what is the cost of living for a child? What value do you have to my children and to those who died in the U.S. land under the previous administration?

I’ll pay Weston to come back, and President Trump understands that. He was a father and a fighter, using American economic muscles to protect families like me. It has nothing to do with politics; it is about survival.

I think about my Weston every day. He should be at least 18 now, planning his future, his path to college, and he wants something professional, rather than becoming a name on the tombstone. Biden’s open borders have brought the poison into it, but Trump’s tariffs are a step to shutting it down.

It’s too late for my son, but it’s too late for yours. The fentanyl crisis has spent too much, and hundreds of thousands of Americans’ lives have been stolen by an illegal drug that seems unstoppable.

President Trump has shown that he is willing to try something different, hard. For this, I said: Thank you, Mr. President, thank you. Keep fighting!
