SEC Sean Duffy talks about simplifying plans for the aviation industry despite inadequacy, safety issues
Transport Secretary Sean Duffy elaborated on how the recent airline tragedy has made the department “focus” on future security.
Duffy announced his plan in February to “supercharge” the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) air traffic controllers have experienced many deadly plane crashes in the past two months.
“All crashes in the first two weeks of our tenure had nothing to do with air traffic control, but that was our focus,” Duffy said on “My Views with Lara Trump.”

Duffy announced on Twitter that the FAA will “simplify” the five-step process of its eight-step hiring process, hoping it will speed up the time to hire “critical positions.”
He said the change in the agreement was designed to shave the old process for more than four months.
Additionally, the agency said it would “raise the starting salary by 30%” for candidates at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center.
Duffy also highlighted the need for new wires, radios, terminals and other equipment from Fox News host Lara Trump.
“Elon [Musk] Point out that time is the enemy of progress. If six, eight, ten years are needed – money changes, key changes, Congress changes, government changes. ” he said.
“So if we could get the money upfront and move quickly, we thought we could do it very quickly, but if we didn’t do anything right now, we wouldn’t have five, ten years. This system does fail and people’s lives will be at risk.”

Despite this, the Ministry of Transport continues to convey the message: “Flying is still the safest way to travel.”
Duffy responded to the news on Saturday.
“Flying in the United States is very safe,” he said. “I fly multiple times a week and if it is not safe, air travel will be closed.”
“If it’s not safe, you won’t fly.”
