Myles Garrett, Browns Saga turns, reportedly rejects meeting request

The deadlock between six-time professional bowlers Myles Garrett and Cleveland Browns hit new heights this week, with reports that the meeting was not finally held.
Last month, the Star Pass sprinters recently told Browns that he hopes to trade with another team. Garrett then requested a meeting with Brown’s boss Jimmy Haslam.

But according to the NFL Network, Haslam rejected a request to meet Garrett. Haslam then pointed Garrett at Browns general manager Andrew Barry, per cleveland.com.

In a statement announcing the trade request, Garrett said he would rather land with his competitors next season. “The goal has never been from Cleveland to Canton, it has been a competition and winning the Super Bowl,” he said.
Garrett doubled down on those emotions and concluded that they were not “aligned” with the direction of the franchise.

“I have a lot of love for Cleveland, but I always like it for me [competing] For the championship, we won these big games and won Lombardy,” Garrett told the NFL Network in February. “We didn’t have a chance to do that. That’s what I want. ”
“It’s not a decision I made easily,” Garrett said. “It took time and a lot of conversations, but just look at the trajectory of the team and talk to some senior introductions…I have a lot of respect for them, but I just don’t think where we are going in the near future.”

The Browns finished the game 3-14 last season and showed uncertainty at quarterback position as Deshaun Watson recently tore the Achilles tendon for the second time. Watson initially tore his right fatal weakness in October.

Brown’s Brass said they won’t trade the 2023 NFL Defensive Player of the Year. Head coach Kevin Stefanski has previously said Garrett is “a part of the present. He is part of the future.”
Garrett has two years left on his contract with the team.
