New research surprises people with the discovery of Tesla’s longevity – Here’s what you need to know

If the price tag of the new Tesla gives you a second idea, then you might want to check out some new longevity data released in natural energy.

Teslarati reported that the data was collected from vehicle inspections in the UK and it found that electric vehicle brands always ranked first in life and mileage. While the average electric vehicle is expected to cover about 124,000 miles in its lifetime, Tesla cars have always averaged 204,000 miles, according to a new report from Allt Om Elbil.

If you tend to evaluate purchases based on the years available rather than miles, Tesla is there too. Its average EV lifespan is 20.3 years, while the average EV lifespan is 18.4 years. By comparison, the average gasoline-driven vehicle has a lifespan of 18.7 years.

Electric vehicles are catching up with conventional internal combustion engine vehicles in full swing. As Teslarati explains, although early electric vehicles may have lagged behind reliability and life, they quickly shut down – and in many ways have closed the gap.

For example, Tesla’s batteries are now expected to exceed their vehicles. This fact prompted researchers to examine how these batteries can be reused to extend their available lifespan. Utilities diving reports say the electric batteries used are now being used as grid storage to expand clean energy in the transportation sector and beyond. According to the report, in such a location, used electric vehicle batteries may still have a viable use for several years.

While the maximum number of this study is good for Tesla, the news is also more extensive for the EV landscape, with other brands starting to base their ratings on expert channels such as Tesla and consumer reporting in terms of market share. In terms of consumer interests, advances in EV technology will continue to save costs.

For example, while the average diesel driver spends about $9,500 in fuel in five years, comparable electric vehicle drivers spend close to $4,000. The more charging stations you build, the more efficient they are – the more affordable it will become.

Given the major tax discounts and incentives that are still available, the EV price tag may look less intimidating – more like an excellent and valuable way to spend money wisely while lowering your own environmental footprint.
