Popular snack products recalled due to undeclared ingredients

Chocolate snacks were recalled after discovering that some bags might contain milk products on the label.
“Kayco, Bayco, N.J., is recalling their glittering dark chocolate cement because (they) may contain unannounced milk,” a Kayco post published on February 21 at the Food and Drug Administration Posted on the website.
“If these products are consumed, people who are allergic to milk or are seriously sensitive can risk serious or life-threatening allergic reactions.”

The company said the products were distributed nationwide to stores nationwide, but “from October 13, 2024 to February 14, 2025, the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut areas are mainly located in New York, New Jersey, New Jersey, the Connecticut area. and Connecticut area.”

The company’s quality control department found that the “limited number of bags” that were supposed to contain dark chocolate biscuits actually contained milk chocolate varieties and began recalling.
The milk chocolate is lined with milk allergens “not announced on the label”, Kayco said.
The press release says the recall only applies to packaging with 02092024 as batch code. It is not clear how many bags of unexpectedly contain milk chocolate products.

“We immediately notify all retailers who have purchased bulk volumes about this recall and instruct them to check inventory or delete any potentially affected products on the shelves,” Kayco said.
Anyone with the product with that lot number can “refund the product for credit or refund. If a consumer experiences an allergic reaction, they are urged to report to the medical provider.”
