Star Trek’s finale producer is surprisingly annoying

Star Trek’s usual season finals are good. Actually, in The next generation“Shadow of Gray” (a twisty editing show), fans are very happy with how the season ends. That’s why we were so surprised to find that one of the best seasons for the franchise is an episode that fans love, but the creators hate it. That episode is “Learning Curve”, Season 1 Traveler Tuwauk had to train some unruly interstellar type endings, and Neelix accidentally infected the ship with cheese.

Why is this Star Trek finale hated

Admittedly, this cheesecoon plot for Star Trek finale is something some fans hate (although later ridiculed it in a lively way Lower deck), but the whole plot is usually welcome. It has also been viewed by a large number of fans. The “Learning Curve” is the most watched first release in the entire show. Unfortunately, all kinds of producers and writers end up being unhappy with the way the episode was wrapped TravelerThe first season.

One of the reasons this episode left a bad taste in the creators’ mouths is that they never intended to make this episode the end of Season 1. Initially, four more episodes were filmed this season, but Season 2 was turned away. Writers and producers want to end the episode with emotional heaviness (similar to “The Best of Both” or “Descent” more like “The Best of Both”) and instead wrap Season 1 in No. 1 with a bottle episode In the middle of the season, the show has a totally crazy cheese-related sub-picture.

Star Trek: Traveler Story editor and future executive producer Ken Biller explains in more detail why this episode hates creative staff. “We ended with an episode of the episode, and Towork was the drill coach,” he said. Biller went on to point out that the episode was “not cliff” and “not seasonal people.” The episode “no explosion” made this new Star Trek show “just disappear.”

at the same time, Star Trek: Traveler Producer Brannon Braga responded to Biller’s thoughts about why the ending was hated among the staff. “This is our last episode because it’s a gentle plot that I’m a little bothered,” he said. “It doesn’t have a big action suit or the grand theme that we like our ending.”

This is an important point to emphasize: “Learning curve” is not a bad plot… Actually, it’s a very solid time to entertain. But it was a bottle show (an episode published in a cheap way on TV) and lacked what the glitter fans had expected in previous finals. For example, both TNG’s “The Drumhead” and DS9’s “The Duet” are Killer The bottle plot, but arguably made in the weird season finals.

Basically where Star Trek: Traveler Show host Michael Piller is on the “learning curve.” Instead of saying it was an episode he hated, Pierre simply pointed out: “It may not be the end of a season, but it was a good show.” Braga agreed, noting that it was “it’s a plot.” Good idea”, even if its small-scale bottle episode naturally leads to a bad ending.

this Star Trek: Traveler The ending hates seasons more than as an episode, but it can be said that writers and producers learn from their mistakes. TravelerThe second season ended with the entire ship being stolen, the third season ended with an uneasy league with Borg, and so on. In other words, future finals are often more dynamic and epic in scope, giving fans more of their favorite sci-fi series than… Neelix’s cheese.
