Federal Aviation Administration officials said in a statement that Delta Flight 4819 crashed when it landed around 2:45 p.m. local time because of strong winds and strong gusts of snowfall in the area.

The flight is operated by Endeavor Airlines, a Delta Air Lines Regional aircraft.

All 80 people were evacuated on the ship, and 19 were injured after the crash, three of them were taken to local hospitals, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

Delta Flight 4819 departs from Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) Toronto Pearson Airport 10:30 am local time.

The plane is Air Canada’s tallest Jet CRJ-900, carrying 76 passengers and 4 crew members.

2:45p EST

The FAA said the crash occurred during the landing. Photos and videos from the scene showed passengers fleeing the capsized plane.

The air traffic control (ATC) reported winds to pilots around 20-30 mph, with gusts approaching 40 mph.

The FAA said all 80 passengers were evacuated.

Two patients were taken to two different trauma centers by air ambulance – Sunnybrook Health Science Center and St. Michael’s Hospital, according to a spokesperson for the healthcare service on site.

The former pilot said

A child about four years old was taken to the hospital in Toronto.

Lawrence Saindon, director of paramedics services at Pierre, told Fox News Digital. “The rest were cut and scratched, not serious at all.”

Delta Air Lines issued a statement regarding the incident.

“Several injured customers were transported to regional hospitals. Our main focus is to care for the injured,” they said.

Delta’s statement continued: “Delta is working to contact customers who monitor their flight status from the Fly Delta App.”

Toronto Pearson Airport resumed receiving air traffic, the airport said in a statement on X.

“As of 5 p.m., Toronto Pearson resumed departures and arrivals,” it said.
