Investigators find third victim of a Wyoming highway tunnel crash
Green River, Wyoming (AP) – A third victim was found in the wreckage in a fire crash inside a highway tunnel in Wyoming Sunday, involving 26 cars and trucks.
At least five people were injured in an accident Friday on Interstate 80 on Interstate 80 near the small town of Green River in Wyoming. The crash caused a fire in the tunnel, which completely destroyed six commercial vehicles and two passenger vehicles.
Most of the wreckage had been removed Sunday and there were still less than 10 vehicles in the tunnel, the sergeant said. Jason Roascio and Wyoming Highway Patrol.

“We hope this is the ultimate death,” Roascio said.
More details about the three victims have not been released.
Photos distributed on Sunday showed burnt remains of two vehicles in the tunnel.
The crash occurred in a double tunnel westbound pipe beneath the castle rock, a sandstone formation that shrouded the town of Green River in the southwest part of the state.
The wreckage and the ensuing fire closed the interstate, through Wyoming’s main East-West Road corridor and redirected through the Green River.
The eastbound tunnel is expected to reopen on Wednesday and temporarily handle traffic in both directions. Engineers cannot estimate when the westbound tunnel will reopen.
