Dead California man with auto parts 1,000 feet below the southern edge of the Grand Canyon

Searchers recently found the body of a California man in Grand Canyon National Park.
The man has not been found yet and was found near the Yavapai Geological Museum on February 10, according to a spokesman for the National Park Services.
At about 8 a.m., the park received a report on broken rock walls and scattered parts of the car east of the museum.

According to officials, a 20-year-old man was 1,000 feet below the edge of a vehicle and a 20-year-old man in an air search conducted by Grand Canyon Airline employees.
With the assistance of aviation personnel, a team of four responders successfully recovered.
Typically, 10 to 15 deaths are reported in the park every season.

“The off-road fleet of the facility maintenance department will repair damaged rock walls near the Yavapai Geological Museum in the coming days,” Parker officials wrote in a statement to Fox News Digital Digitalization.
Visitors should expect temporary detours around the work area by February 26.
