Pickup passengers drive fireworks in their car during alleged highway incident

A pickup driver and passenger were wanted to film fireworks at another driver in Washington state, and authorities have been described as “an obvious road anger.”

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on February 1 in Kitsap County, when a four-door Dodge pickup truck began following a female driver on Central Valley Road, the Kitsap County Sheriff’s office said.

According to the sheriff’s office, a few minutes later, the pickup passed the woman and began shooting fireworks at the woman’s vehicle.

According to the video of the incident, the camera on the woman’s car captured Roman candle-style fireworks fired from a pickup truck.

“The woman tried to drive away, but the truck chased her,” the sheriff’s office said. “Once, she saw someone fired fireworks at her in the passenger seat.”

The pickup truck finally drove away when the woman drove into the parking lot of Fred Meyer’s store, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies said the incident made the woman “fear”.

Authorities were unable to clearly see the license plate from the videotape and asked anyone with information about the pickup truck to contact the Kissap County Sheriff’s Office.
