Washington, D.C. restaurants join Trump’s inauguration

Washington, D.C., is preparing for Monday’s inauguration of the 47th President, Donald J. Trump, despite extreme weather forcing the swearing-in ceremony to be held indoors.
Inauguration Day begins with a ceremony at noon. According to Destination DC, the event concludes with the official inaugural ball.
They told Fox News Digital earlier this week that many restaurants in the greater Washington area are launching specials and experiences inspired by the inauguration to commemorate the event.
What’s on Donald Trump’s inaugural lunch menu?
Here are some special dishes from Washington, D.C. restaurants.
Pair your burgers and fries with a Diet Coke
At the Watergate Hotel, guests can celebrate the inauguration at The Next Whiskey Bar, an elegant way to celebrate one of President Trump’s favorite bars, the Presidential Stack.
The dish features a classic burger paired with golden truffle fries and a tub of Diet Coke in the ultimate nod to Trump.

The Next Whiskey Bar also offers the Presidential Bites Flight, a collection of deluxe small plates designed to celebrate occasions.

Save room for oysters and caviar, pair them with traditional dishes, and be sure to drink some champagne.
“To commemorate this historic inauguration, we have crafted a menu that balances fun and sophistication and reflects the celebratory spirit of The Watergate Hotel,” executive chef Tony DiGregorio told Fox News Digital.

Enjoy a 3-course presidential-inspired dinner
At New Heights Restaurant in Washington, D.C.’s Woodley Park neighborhood, you can take a culinary journey through history with a special three-course dinner menu, “Presidential Feast: Flavors from Inaugural History.”
Available only through the end of January, this meal features official menu items from past U.S. presidential congressional lunches.

“We’ve seen seven leaders serve in office since New Heights opened in 1986, so creating a menu with dishes that past presidents loved was truly an awe-inspiring moment for me,” said Executive Chef Jose Molina.
“Cooking for others has always been my greatest joy – it’s why I became a chef – so I can’t think of a better way to celebrate this history than by giving our guests the opportunity to enjoy these iconic dishes,” he also said.
