Melania’s “Be Best” initiative, which focused on youth well-being and advocated against online bullying, became an integral part of her identity as first lady during Trump’s first term.
She plans to “continue” and “expand” the program, citing the challenges she faced the first time around.

Trump will be inaugurated on January 20, becoming the only president besides Grover Cleveland to serve non-consecutive terms. Melania said taking on the role of first lady will be easier this time around because she already has the experience of her husband’s first term.

She explained that the transition team had five hours to move out the Biden family and move in the Trump family, and “everything needed to be planned by the minute.” For Melania, the changing of the guard means packing her bags, assembling her team, and making the White House her home again.

In November last year, Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris, swept all key swing states, and won 312 electoral votes. Now, his plans for his first 100 days remain front and center – focusing on taxes, immigration and inflation.
“I think it’s going to be an exciting four years and we have a lot to do to get the country back to normal,” Melania said.
