Perry’s death was ruled an accident two months after he was found unresponsive in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home. The actor was pronounced dead on October 28, 2023.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office released a toxicology report concluding that Perry died from the effects of ketamine, with drowning, coronary artery disease and the effects of buprenorphine (used to treat opioid use) listed as contributing factors.
On November 15 of that year, Kudrow posted a tribute to Perry on Instagram, writing: “Thank you for making me laugh so hard at something you said that my muscles ached every day. There were tears streaming down my face. Thank you for opening up about the need for compromise in a six-way relationship and a lot of “talk.” Thank you for showing up to work when you were not well and then performing like a charm.
