The 51-year-old actress took aim at her fans, who took the initiative to comment on her looks via a recent Instagram post that has since been deleted.
“This isn’t a criticism but I think you’ve lost too much weight lately,” one follower commented on Tuesday, December 31.
Beckinsale unmoved hit back at the comment, saying the view was “unnecessary”.

“If this isn’t criticism, it’s a passive-aggressive, completely unnecessary opinion from someone I don’t know who knows nothing about my situation,” she fumed. “So next time you feel like commenting on someone’s body, I suggest you hold back.”
Other comments on the post also drew enthusiastic responses from netizens canary black Star.

Another person held back Beckinsale’s anger and asked: “What happened to Beckinsale?”

This isn’t the first time Beckinsale has been unimpressed by body-shamers’ comments about her weight and appearance.
In July, Beckinsale publicly confronted a troll after they criticized her body after she posted a photo of herself in a swimsuit on Instagram.
“Go do some squats, I think your ass is gone,” the troll wrote.

Beckinsale’s stepfather and director Roy Battersby, Passed away due to a brief illness in January 2024 at the age of 87. At the time, she shared his obituary via Instagram Story and confirmed his death.
“It is with great sadness that the family of film and television director Roy Battersby announce his recent passing after a brief illness,” the statement read. “He died in Los Angeles on January 10, 2024, surrounded by his family.
